The Big Pilgrimage
The Big Pilgrimage is a fabulous 15 Mile and Marathon point to point mixed terrain running event, which follows the start of a newly discovered Pilgrim Trail called 'The Old Way'. This ancient trail from Southampton to Canterbury was recently found on Britain's oldest road map, the Gough Map c.1360 and follows beautiful coastal and countryside trails, from Mayflower Park in Southampton ; with the 15 mile course finishing at the medieval ruins of Titchfield Abbey and the Marathon finish line in the beautiful grounds of Boundary Oak School, just outside the village of Wickham.
This event is famous for its unique river crossing! When runners reach Hamble foreshore, they are invited to grab a bag of our yummy BigFeat Pick 'N' Mix sweets, before boarding one of our fleet of vessels for the short boat ride across the Hamble River to Warsash, where they disembark and carry on their run around the coast to Titchfield Haven.
On your way you will pass fabulous pilgrimage landmarks such as Netley Castle, Netley Abbey, The Chapel at Royal Victoria Country Park and Titchfield Abbey. Participants will collect a sticker at each one to make a collectable race bib with a difference!

A J Bell Great South Run 2025
The A J Bell Great South Run October 19 2025 - a great, fast, flat 10 miler with a very supportive local population.

Forest of Bere Bash
Forest of Bere is a historic woodland with many trails to explore; at 350 hectares, it is the largest remaining fragment of the ancient Forest.
This is one of our timed events where you choose - from 5km, 10k, half marathon, marathon to an ultra. You can complete as many, or as few, laps within the overall 7 hour time limit. The course is a 5.3km / 3.28 mile, loop through the beautiful Forest of Bere. We welcome all abilities of runners - complete one loop and you're both a finisher and a winner in our eyes; or keep going and see how far you can go in the full 7 hour time limit. No matter the distance - everyone gets a finisher's medal!
We also operate our uniquely flexible 'rock up and run' start times, within a 1 hour start window. This simply means that there is no waiting around if you arrive early and no added pressure if you're running a bit late. If you have any special start time requirements then just get in touch because depending on the distance you are planning to run we can pretty much accommodate all start time requests..

Valley Park Tour of the Woods
Enjoy the delightful ancient woodlands of Valley Park and Knightwood with this unique 10 km, mixed terrain run brought you to by Chandler's Ford Swifts Running Club and Liam Newton Physiotherapy. Broken up into 5 stages, ranging from 500 metres to 3 km, you get a rest between each that does not contribute to your overall time, and the chance to recharge before setting off again.

The River Hamble Country Park 5k and 10k
I’m excited to run this 10k event with outthererunning trail events. I’ve done a few runs with this new trail running events company and they’ve got a lovely vibe. Really looking forward to it. I’ve volunteered with them too, so I’ve gotten to know the team well. This park is quite close to where I grew up and I’m looking forward to going back to my roots (probably quite literally!)

Event One
This weekend I’m running the River Hamble Country Park 10k. It’s a trail run in a Country Park near Southampton. I grew up quite near here, and although I don’t live there anymore it’s a bit like going back to my old stomping ground. The event is being hosted by a fairly new running events company called Out There Running www.outthererunningltd.com. I’ve done a couple of their events so far and I love the vibe. Looking forward to this, although we’ve been basking in the high 20s (centigrade) so I’m glad this is an 8am start!
